Julia has been passionate about working with older adults from a young age, often volunteering and donating homemade cookies to her local assisted living communities throughout high school. While completing her Undergraduate Degree in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) at Colorado State University she fostered this passion by continuing to volunteer within the local community, interning at a Skilled Nursing Facility, and by pursuing a Minor in Gerontology.
Julia’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a Pre-Health Profession Concentration and Minor in Gerontology have prepared her to work with people of various life stages, abilities, and cognition. Post-graduation she has pursued her Certified Dementia Practitioner license, and she continues to seek out other educational opportunities in the field of Gerontology.
Julia grew up in Southern California and relocated to the Washington D.C. area shortly after she graduated from college. Outside of work Julia enjoys spending time with her two cats, attending live music concerts, baking sweets, breads and watching movies in theaters. Julia has enjoyed her time exploring the DMV area and is looking forward to exploring other notable places on the East Coast such as New York and Boston.
